Terms and conditions for using E-Bike Safe Rider Academy.

Last Updated: August 30, 2026

1. About E-Bike Safe Rider Academy

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy is operated by E-Bike Safe Rider LLC and provides online educational content focused on e-bike safety for youth riders and their families.

These Terms of Service govern use of the E-Bike Safe Rider Academy website, family accounts, rider profiles, educational course, assessments, certificates, downloadable materials, and related services.

By creating an account, purchasing enrollment, or using the Academy, the adult account holder agrees to these Terms.

2. Parent or Guardian Account Required

Family accounts must be created and owned by an adult who is at least 18 years old.

Youth riders do not independently create or own E-Bike Safe Rider Academy family accounts. The adult account holder is responsible for adding rider profiles, providing required permissions or consent, maintaining accurate account information, and supervising use of the Academy.

The adult account holder is responsible for protecting account credentials and Rider Mode access information.

3. Educational Purpose

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy provides general educational information about e-bike safety, responsible riding, hazard awareness, equipment, decision-making, and related topics.

The Academy does not provide legal advice.

Completing the Academy:

  • does not establish legal eligibility to operate an e-bike;
  • is not a driver's license, permit, or government certification;
  • does not guarantee riding skill, judgment, or safety;
  • does not replace hands-on instruction, adult supervision, or professional training when appropriate; and
  • is not recognized or endorsed by a government agency unless expressly stated.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for determining whether a rider is physically, developmentally, and practically ready to ride.

4. Local Laws and Riding Rules

E-bike laws and rules vary by state and local jurisdiction and may change.

Parents and guardians are responsible for confirming current requirements where their rider will ride, including applicable:

  • age restrictions;
  • e-bike classifications;
  • helmet requirements;
  • equipment requirements;
  • licensing or registration requirements;
  • road, path, trail, park, and sidewalk restrictions; and
  • other state or local rules.

Information provided by the Academy about legal or regulatory topics is general educational guidance only.

5. Rider Safety

Riding an e-bike involves inherent risks, including falls, collisions, weather hazards, mechanical problems, traffic, road conditions, and the actions of other people.

Course completion does not eliminate these risks.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for appropriate supervision, equipment, helmet use, bicycle condition, riding environment, and decisions about whether a youth rider should ride.

Riders should stop riding and seek adult assistance whenever conditions, equipment, health, or circumstances make riding unsafe.

6. Course Access and Plans

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy may offer Individual Rider and Family enrollment plans.

An Individual Rider enrollment provides access for one eligible rider.

A Family Plan may provide access for up to the number of riders stated on the applicable pricing page at the time of purchase.

Enrollment is for personal and household use and may not be resold, transferred, shared outside the purchasing household, or used to provide unauthorized commercial training.

7. Purchases and Payments

Prices and plan features are shown before checkout.

Unless otherwise stated, Academy enrollment is sold as a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription.

Applicable taxes or other transaction charges may be calculated during checkout.

Payment processing and transaction-related services may be provided by third-party payment providers. Those providers may have additional terms governing payment processing.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the E-Bike Safe Rider Academy Refund Policy published at: /refund-policy.

The Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

9. Course Progress, Assessments, and Certificates

Course progress, quiz results, exam results, badges, and certificates are educational records within the Academy.

The E-Bike Safe Rider Academy Graduate Certificate recognizes completion of the Academy's educational requirements. It does not certify independent riding ability, legal eligibility, or professional competency.

Parents remain responsible for evaluating real-world riding readiness.

10. Acceptable Use

Users may not:

  • share login credentials with unauthorized persons;
  • attempt to bypass course progress or assessment requirements;
  • interfere with website security or functionality;
  • access another user's account without authorization;
  • copy or distribute Academy materials except where expressly permitted;
  • resell Academy access or content;
  • use Academy materials to create a competing product without permission; or
  • use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

11. Intellectual Property

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy course content, curriculum, mentor characters, illustrations, graphics, videos, audio, text, logos, badges, certificates, downloadable resources, software, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to E-Bike Safe Rider LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Purchasing enrollment provides a limited right to use the materials for the enrolled family's personal educational use. Ownership is not transferred.

12. Account Suspension or Termination

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of fraud, unauthorized account sharing, abuse, security concerns, violations of these Terms, or unlawful activity.

When appropriate, we may contact the adult account holder before taking action.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

The Academy may link to government websites, payment services, technical providers, or other third-party resources.

E-Bike Safe Rider Academy does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or separate terms.

14. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep the Academy available and accurate, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

We may update course material, features, technical systems, policies, or educational content to improve the Academy, address safety information, meet legal requirements, or maintain the service.

Material changes affecting users will be communicated when reasonably appropriate.

15. Disclaimer

Educational content is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, E-Bike Safe Rider LLC does not guarantee that completion of the course will prevent accidents, injuries, property damage, violations of law, or other riding incidents.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, E-Bike Safe Rider LLC will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Academy or from real-world e-bike riding.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.

17. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically.

The current version will be posted on this page with its most recent update date. If a change materially affects existing users, reasonable notice will be provided when appropriate.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and, where permitted, the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that apply under another jurisdiction's mandatory law.
