Every module lives inside one of four phases. Riders move through the phases in order; parents can see exactly what's ahead.

What riders experience

From enrollment to certificate — start to finish.

    Family account, guardian consent, add your rider, and pick their state.

  2. Learn through 12 modules

  3. Show what you know

    Each module ends with a knowledge check; misses guide targeted review.

  4. Final exam and pledge

    Pass the final exam and complete the rider safety pledge to graduate.

Assessments

How riders show what they've learned.

Assessments are designed to build confidence. Riders can retake module checks and the final exam; targeted review focuses on exactly what was missed.

  • Short quick checks inside every lesson — instant, encouraging feedback.
  • Module knowledge check at the end of each module with targeted review on any miss.
  • Cumulative final exam covers the full course; retakes are allowed.
  • Rider safety pledge is the final step — a personal commitment, not a test.

Graduation & the certificate

A meaningful finish — not a legal claim.

Graduates receive a printable E-Bike Safe Rider Academy Graduate Certificate along with the achievements earned along the way.

An adult-supported practical checklist helps reinforce real handling and awareness. It is optional, separate from online graduation, and never blocks the certificate. Parents remain the best judge of readiness.

Know the rules where you ride

How the Academy handles rules that vary by location

  • Every family takes the same nationwide course. The state you choose during enrollment tells us where your rider primarily rides — it does not change the lessons or the exam.
  • E-bike rules differ by state and by city, county, park, and trail, and they change. The Academy teaches the categories to check — classes, rider age, helmets, equipment, and where riding is allowed.
  • The Academy provides general safety education, not legal advice, and does not state the requirements of any specific state. See "Know the rules where you ride" for the official authorities families should consult.
