The E-Bike Safe Rider Academy is designed for young riders to learn independently. You handle enrollment and stay informed; your rider does the learning at their own pace.
Your role, clarified
What the Academy asks of you — and what it doesn't.
We separate the few things you must do from the many things you don't need to do. Your rider isn't blocked waiting for you between lessons.
Required or potentially required
- Create the family account and complete guardian consent for a minor.
- Enroll the rider and select their primary state during checkout.
- Help the rider enter accurate name, age, and state information.
- Provide ordinary parental supervision outside the platform.
Your rider doesn't wait on these
- Approving each lesson before your rider can continue.
- Reviewing every quiz score before the next module unlocks.
- Signing in after each module to acknowledge progress.

The rider experience
What your rider does in the Academy
Twelve short modules across four phases — Prepare, Control, Navigate, and Respond — guide riders through age-adapted lessons, scenarios, quick checks, and a final exam. Two youth mentors, Zoe and Marcus, guide riders through decisions and scenarios at every step.

Know the rules where you ride
Rules vary by location. We teach families what to check.
Your rider's state tells us where they primarily ride; the course content is the same everywhere. E-bike definitions, rider-age rules, helmet requirements, equipment rules, and where e-bikes may be ridden vary by state and local jurisdiction and may change. A parent or guardian should verify current requirements with official state and local authorities before the rider uses an e-bike. The Academy is general safety education and is not legal advice.
Graduation
What it takes to graduate
- • Complete all 12 modules
- • Pass the final exam
- • Complete the rider safety pledge
Graduation does not require your acknowledgment or the practical checklist. Families receive a printable graduate certificate; the Academy does not confer state licensing or legal qualification.
Optional practical skills
A separate parent-supported checklist reinforces real-world handling. It is optional, recommended, and never required for online graduation.
